What is a Pillar Network?

A Pillar Network is typically an association or collective of churches, organizations, or professionals who share common beliefs, values, or goals and collaborate to support each other’s missions. In the context of churches, such as the Pillar Network, it refers to a network of like-minded, autonomous Baptist churches working together for church planting, revitalization, and leadership development. Members benefit from shared resources, mentoring, and partnership opportunities, allowing them to have a greater collective impact. The network model fosters accountability, support, and mutual encouragement among its members.

How does working within the Pillar Network team typically involve collaboration across different departments?

As part of the Pillar Network team, you'll frequently collaborate with various departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support. This cross-functional teamwork is essential for ensuring that network initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver seamless experiences for members. You'll participate in regular meetings, share updates, and jointly troubleshoot challenges, fostering a dynamic and communicative work environment. This collaborative structure not only enhances project outcomes but also provides valuable opportunities to expand your skill set and build strong professional relationships.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a network engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Network Engineer, you need a solid understanding of network protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting, typically backed by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with network management tools, firewalls, and certifications such as Cisco's CCNA or CCNP are commonly required. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills set top professionals apart in this field. These skills and qualifications are crucial for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient network operations within organizations.

Job description

About Latitude.sh

At Latitude.sh, we don't just build digital infrastructure; we reimagine what that infrastructure can do. In our AI & Machine Learning pod, that means powering the bare-metal compute, training runs, and inference workloads behind some of the most demanding AI builds on the planet. We're a caffeine-fuelled, meme-slinging squad on a mission to make AI infrastructure simple, agile, and endlessly scalable.

Launched in 2019, Latitude.sh provides automated, global Bare Metal infrastructure with cloud-like flexibility. Recently acquired by Megaport, we are now integrating high-performance compute with world-class connectivity to power the next generation of AI and enterprise workloads at scale.

Why Latitude.sh + Megaport?

At Latitude.sh, you’ll be part of a lean, agile team where your work truly matters. From day one, you’ll have ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real impact through innovation and creative problem-solving.

Together with Megaport, we embrace a collaborative, low-hierarchy culture where curiosity drives growth, diversity is valued, and customers are at the center of everything we do. We’re proud to be an inclusive company and welcome talent from all backgrounds. If our values resonate with you, we’d love to meet you.

The Role

The Network Team at Latitude.sh is a critical pillar in ensuring stable, secure, and high-performance connectivity for our customers. We operate a robust, complex, and constantly evolving global network infrastructure that supports bare-metal and cloud-adjacent workloads.

Our environment includes carrier-grade routing, switching, security, and monitoring systems, working closely with multiple transit providers and data centers worldwide. The team is hands-on, deeply technical, and driven by ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a Senior Network Operations Analyst to join our Network Team, capable of handling operational excellence, incident response, and proactive improvements in a production-critical environment.

What You’ll Be Doing (a.k.a. Your Quest Log)

  • Operate, maintain, and continuously improve the logical data and security network, including edge routers, core switches, and firewalls;

  • Actively troubleshoot and resolve medium and high-complexity network incidents, including interaction with transit providers, IXs, and data centers partners when required;

  • Provide L1/L2 (and partial L3) network support to customers and internal teams, ensuring timely responses, clear communication, and SLA adherence;

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions to avoid recurrence of incidents;

  • Plan and support network expansions, topology changes, and capacity improvements;

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, procedures, and incident records;

  • Manage and improve network monitoring systems, including creation and tuning of alerts, graphs, and thresholds;

  • Act with a strong sense of ownership and urgency, especially during off- hours and critical incidents.

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced English communication skills (B2 level or higher), both written and spoken;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience);

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols, including:

    • Layer 2 & 3 concepts: MAC, VLAN, Trunking, Spanning Tree

    • IP networking: ARP, Subnetting, ACLs, DHCP

    • Routing: BGP, OSPF

    • Transport & management: TCP, UDP, SNMP, NTP, SSH

    • Troubleshooting tools: Ping, Traceroute

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot production environments with a hands-on and analytical approach;

  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to operate calmly under pressure;

  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to different audiences;

  • Proactive mindset and willingness to continuously learn and improve;

  • Cisco CCNA certification (required); higher-level certifications are a plus

Bonus Points If

  • Experience with Juniper, Fortinet, Huawei, or multi- vendor environments;

  • Previous experience in ISP, data center, or large-scale infrastructure environments;

  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, LibreNMS, etc.);

  • Experience interacting directly with carriers and transit providers.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation

  • Variable & Annual Bonus based on company and team performance

  • Meal voucher (Caju)

  • Wellhub

  • Transportation or fuel voucher (without discounts)

  • Health Plan (SulamΓ©rica)

  • Dental Plan (Amil)
