Job description

Production Team Member - Shipper II
Paulo Cleveland - 4428 Hamann Pkwy Willoughby, OH 44094
Wage: $19.57 - $20.23

Your schedule will include weekends
Load and unload trucks and vans, handle incoming inspection (i.e. weight, counts, and paperwork), and move parts to staging areas in plant. Handle UPS and FedEx deliveries and shipments. Load build all Mentor and Minerva loads. Train new shippers as needed. Ensure that all shipping activities are conducted in a safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately weigh, label, load and unload customer parts using a forklift as necessary.
  • Accurately confirm all incoming counts, as required and turn in paperwork to order writers in a timely and correct manner.
  • Complete all paperwork, including PICs requirements for incoming and outgoing loads.
  • Determine the status of the customer parts before loading vehicle to ensure that only parts ready for delivery are loaded (follow cone policy as well as checking the shop order).
  • Communicate with customers in a courteous and friendly manner to schedule pickup and delivery and to communicate inventory information.
  • Move parts to the production staging areas after shop orders have been written.
  • Follow all forklift safety procedures and protocols at all times. Make sure dock lock is used when possible and check to make sure wheels are chocked before entering the truck.
  • Help out and support other areas or departments as needed or assigned.
  • Follow all work instructions and ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping and adhere to 5-S mandates.
  • Train new shippers as needed. Help train Shipper I employees to reach the next level as requested.
  • Handle UPS and FedEx deliveries and shipments.
  • Handle any special shipping requests.
  • Perform load building for Mentor accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform load building for Minerva accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Set up Deere shipments Harvester, Deere & Co, Xpac, Export and Metokote.
  • Set up WCI and TST orders.

Qualifications:
  • Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, this includes THC.

License(s)/Certification(s) Required:
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.

Experience:
  • Prior shipping experience preferred.
  • Must be available for all shifts.
