Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to help expand an already established practice with AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) Oncology & Hematology located in Rome, Georgia (about an hour Northwest of the Atlanta area). The practice is looking for a team-oriented, fellowship-trained hematologist oncologist to join our group, which is part of a large referral network.

This opportunity would provide inpatient and outpatient services seeing a wide variety of hematology and oncology patients with our team at AdventHealth Redmond, which is a 230-bed, full-service hospital located in beautiful Rome, Georgia with partnership from the oncology group at AdventHealth Gordon (69 beds) located in Calhoun, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have experience with practice building in a new market and seeing a variety of hematologic malignancies and solid tumor patients.

  • Ability to build & grow as we expand and add a new location to expand services
  • The group consists of 1 physician and 3 APPs
  • Infusion will be located directly in our brand-new clinic, close to AdventHealth Redmond
  • Strong oncology specialty services available at two of our AdventHealth hospitals
  • Access to research support, clinical trials, and tumor boards
  • Practice will have the support of nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, nutrition etc.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Hematology and or Medical Oncology
