VistaPrint is looking for talented, fun, and energetic Production Operators to join our world class manufacturing plant in Reno, NV!

A Shift: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday

Hourly rate for this position: $22.08 for the first 90 days and $22.58 thereafter

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing a variety of job duties within processing and packing of customer orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform all functions related to the processing, packing, and sorting of customer orders
  • Post-processing of customer orders operating such equipment as Banding, Shrink-Wrap, Scanning, and Packing.
  • Product binning: Sort all packaged orders into correct bins to complete customer orders before sending them to logistics for shipping
  • Packing: Ensure all items of customer order products/packs are packaged together. Place order into sufficient boxing before taping, stamping, and sending to logistics at production target rates.
  • WIP Movement (Water Spider): Deliver and replenish customer orders and materials throughout production processes.
  • Use manual pallet jacks as needed
  • Use scan guns as needed to help sort and complete customer orders
  • Ensure area remains clean and up to 5S standards, including performing regular inspections to make sure no malfunctioning equipment or materials are used within production or packing.
  • Perform regular quality checks, working to consistently reduce internal defects and ensuring a quality product is delivered to the proper customer on time
  • Staying compliant with minimum performance and accuracy expectations
  • Adheres to company standards and SOP guidelines

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous experience in a lean or production manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience picking, packing, sorting
  • Team player who is reliable, eager to learn, train and rotate through the various operations
  • Basic counting and mathematical skills to pick the correct quantity
  • Ability to respond with flexibility to changing work demands
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team environment
  • Ability to work with technology and follow step-by-step procedures
  • Strong dedication to team member morale, customer service, safety, quality and delivery
  • Ability to multitask.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to perform normal sitting and standing activities and lift to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
  • The ability to actively listen and read comprehensive documents
  • Strong communication skills
