Duties and Responsibilities:

Banquet Areas:

  • Read and follow daily floor plan
  • Set up and break down banquet area: tables and chairs, staging, pipe and drape, podiums.
  • Load dinner plates onto trays
  • Sort dishes and glassware during meal service

Transport Heavy Equipment as Necessary:

  • Prepare tanks for outside grills, piano, ice sculptures and food warmers
  • Ice to bars and restock ice bins
  • Beverage Coolers to pool area or golf course
  • Help transportation of chaffers

Cleaning:

  • Clean the service hallway
  • Sweep, mop, wax and buff the floors
  • Wash walls, doors and windows
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, artwork, and signage in ballrooms and conference rooms
  • Shampoo and vacuum carpets
  • Sweep outside stairs, entrances and driveways
  • Empty and clean cigarette urns
  • Empty outside trash cans when necessary
  • Keep all equipment in clean and working order
  • Clean trash cans

Cleaning the Bars:

  • Beer taps, soda, and liquor guns
  • Ice Bins and hand sinks
  • Bar mats and bar drinks
  • Mirror and trim work
  • Sweep and mop

Recycling Cardboard Boxes:

  • Breakdown cardboard boxes and glass bottles
  • Dispose of food recycle
  • Dispose of appropriately at the dumpster

Handling Multiple Tasks:

  • Handle various room assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritize various tasks
  • Able to work independently, find yourself something to do at all time
  • After completion of tasks, seek manager for additional responsibilities

Proper storage for Equipment:

  • Eight-foot tables, five foot rounds, cafe tables
  • Podium
  • Staging
  • Vacuum Cleaner
  • Shampoo machines
  • Broom, mop and mop bucket
  • Chemical

Proper breakdown and reset for each room:

  • Vacuum must be done before each set up. Do not drop any chairs unless carpet is done.
  • Make sure chairs are free from stains
  • Notify managers if room set ups are not complete
  • Remove and return all unused items back to proper location
  • Make sure there are chairs for registration, steps for stage
  • Bridal suite should be set with one eight foot with eight chairs at all times. Do not store any extra tables or chairs.
  • Do not leave anything in Coat room
  • Staging must be returned to Ball storage
  • Do not leave staging, tables, chairs, chair carts blocking emergency exit by ramp area
  • Rinse off mop head before and after each use. Never leave dirty water in mop bucket
  • Mop dance floor after each setup

Additional work during downtime:

  • Clean windows, sweep stairway, polish Waterford brass handrail
  • Organize, sweep, and mop storage area for tables and chairs
  • Check public area with broom, dustpan, and check trash bins several times a day
  • Vacuum and mop any area

Proper uniform, name tag, pants, shoes:

  • Only khaki or black pants
  • Only gray banquet shirt (not pro shop ones)
  • Black shoes
  • Cell phones to be used for job related only
  • Punch in and out every shift
