Position Overview:
Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Physics Tutor to provide evening academic support to cadets at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The tutor will assist students in mastering fundamental physics concepts and applying them to real-world scenarios, ensuring academic success and technical competence.
Job Title: Physics Tutor
Location: U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT 06320
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Spring Semester Only)
Subject Covered:
  • Physics I

Tasks:
  • Deliver individualized and group tutoring services to cadets during scheduled evening hours.
  • Clarify key concepts in mechanics, motion, energy, and other foundational physics topics.
  • Assist cadets in preparing for problem sets, lab assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Track attendance and academic progress in coordination with the Academic Resource Center staff.
  • Collaborate with Physics faculty and ARC personnel to ensure tutoring support aligns with course expectations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physics or a closely related field
  • Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in a higher education setting
