A physics tutor helps students reach their academic goals in physics. You evaluate and grade the student’s homework, classwork, and lab assignments. Your responsibilities include planning lessons for the students you tutor and helping them study for exams. You explain difficult physics concepts to students like optics, quantum mechanics, and friction. You may conduct private one-on-one sessions with students or group tutoring sessions. Other duties include assisting students with their problem solving skills and supervising students in the lab. You maintain records for each of your pupils and use collected data to analyze their academic progress.
