Position: Content Developer II โ IT (Power BI Focused)
Location: Atlanta, GA 30308
Contract: 6 Months
Client: ย ย ย ย ย Southern Company Services.
We are seeking a skilledย Content Developer II โ ITย with strong expertise inย Power BI dashboard development, data modeling, and reporting solutions.
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that support business decision-making. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building Power BI solutions from scratch and can translate business requirements into optimized, user-friendly reporting tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards usingย Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Build reports from scratch aligned with business requirements.
- Optimize reports for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Develop robust data models using best practices:
- Star schema
- Normalization
- Write and maintain advanced:
- DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
- M (Power Query Formula Language)
- Integrate data from multiple sources including:
- Excel
- SharePoint
- Cloud platforms
- Implementย Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Manage workspace permissions and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with reporting standards and governance practices.
- Troubleshoot report performance issues.
- Resolve data refresh failures and connectivity issues.
- Maintain documentation of:
- Data models
- Report logic
- Development processes
- Gather and analyze business requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reporting solutions.
- Communicate technical insights in business-friendly language.
- Proven experience with:
- Power BI Desktop
- Power BI Service
- Power Query
- Strong proficiency in:

- Experience developing dashboards and reports independently.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
