What is physician practice operations?

Physician practice operations refer to the management and coordination of the daily activities and processes within a medical practice or clinic. This includes overseeing staffing, scheduling, billing, patient flow, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. Effective management involves leveraging healthcare IT systems, fostering strong communication among clinical and administrative teams, and continuously monitoring key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement. Building collaborative relationships with physicians and staff also helps in implementing process improvements and maintaining a positive work environment.
