Job description

Summary

This position is not eligible for benefits.

As a Registered Nurse Field Assessor (FA), you will be responsible for completing Long Term Care insurance assessments. These assessments are primarily hands-off and involve gathering claimant demographics, physician information, a current medication list, and evaluating the claimant's functional level of independence.

The process also includes conducting a brief cognitive screening and assessing the claimant's ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) tasks. The ideal candidate should be technologically proficient and capable of using a point-of-care web application or system on a laptop or tablet in real-time for documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Complete Long Term Care insurance assessments, including collecting claimant demographics, physician details, medication lists, and evaluating functional independence.
  • Conduct cognitive screenings and assess ADL and IADL performance.
  • Use point-of-care technology efficiently during assessments.
Education and Experience
  • Current, unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • At least 2 years of home health nursing experience or equivalent in serving the older adult population.
  • Willingness to obtain professional liability insurance if not already held.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
