The Job
Mosquito Joe of Amherst - Charlton is hiring Massachusetts Licensed Applicators for mosquito and pest control to join our field service professionals' team providing excellent pest control and customer service. This role is for someone with a growth mindset who likes to solve problems and exceed expectations, works well independently and as part of team, maintains standards and adheres to state regulations, starts and completes their work professionally and with pride daily.
We provide outdoor pest-control only - mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, ants, beetles, wasps, spiders, rodents, and other outdoor pests. No crawl spaces. No attics. No indoor work.
What You'll Do
Bring your A-game. Remember, you are always on a public stage (and often on customers' cameras). You might think no one is home or watching, but you could impress someone with your professionalism!
Take training seriously. Be able to provide expert advice to staff, field technicians and customers on outdoor pest control.
Do it right the first time. Ensure that you follow the Mosquito Joe process. You don't want the customer to call you back out to do it over.
Leave the whining at home. Some days the work will be hard. It will be hot. You will not want to work. Then your work ethic will kick in, and you'll show up with a smile.
Support a strong brand reputation through direct dealings with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Preferred Experience and Abilities
• You must be at least 19 years old and have a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• You must maintain your valid MDAR Applicator (core) License to enable you to service residential and commercial properties on behalf of the company.
You must have a current and clean driver's license.
• You must be able to listen and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
• You must be able to lift, carry and walk with a 65 lb. backpack for 20 minutes or so several times a day.
• You must be able to handle the summer heat and changing temperatures.

Competitive salary range with Applicator License $23.00 to $27.00/hour depending on prior experience in this or similar mosquito- or pest-control positions.
