Job Title: System of Support – Inclusion (Toileting) Classification: Part-Time; Non-Exempt Reports To: Site Director Eligible for Benefits: No Status: Active Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour, Step 1

Position Summary

The System of Support – Inclusion (Toileting) position is responsible for providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students with special needs. This role includes assisting with student behavior, supporting inclusion practices, and helping maintain a safe and positive learning environment.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide academic, social, and behavioral support to students with special needs individually and in small groups.

  • Assist in implementing lessons and activities by reinforcing concepts and offering individualized or small‑group support.

  • Help maintain a safe, secure, and structured learning environment; assist with classroom behavior management.

  • Create a physically and emotionally safe environment for both students and staff.

  • Ensure every student feels known, accepted, valued, and respected through positive communication and trust‑building.

  • Maintain awareness of ProYouth program goals, expectations, and processes.

  • Comply with the ProYouth Employee Handbook and all organizational policies and procedures.

  • Build positive, professional relationships with coworkers, supervisors, ProYouth leadership, site principals, teachers, and parents.

  • Complete all responsibilities accurately and on time.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of training and experience.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • College degree with a focus in Special Education preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND

    • 48 completed college units OR

    • NCLB Paraprofessional Certification.

  • Special Education training required; Special Education Training Certification preferred.

  • At least one year of experience working directly with students with behavioral challenges in an educational setting.

  • Experience implementing behavior intervention plans as part of a team.

  • Documented training in applied behavioral strategies.

  • Training in supporting students with toileting needs required.

  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training required.

  • Handle With Care training required.

General Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must pass a DOJ/FBI background check.

  • Must receive TB clearance.

  • Must pass pre‑employment drug screening.

  • Must have reliable transportation, which may include public transit, rideshare, biking, or other consistent means.
