Primary Care opening in northern AL. Thriving Internal Medicine Clinic seeks an additional Internist to accommodate a growing community. Patient admissions and call are required. This clinic was established in 1982, and offers services in both internal medicine and nephrology.
The hospital call is currently shared between a total of six internists (two pulmonologists, one nephrologist, and three general internists). Call consists of one weekend out of six and one out of six weekdays. We have participated in a number of clinic and hospital-based research trials.
We have had four visa waiver doctors at our group over the past 15 years. The area qualifies as an underserved, health manpower shortage area through the Appalachian Regional Commission.
