A Physical Therapy Case Reviewer is a licensed physical therapist who evaluates patient records, treatment plans, and progress reports to ensure that physical therapy services are medically necessary, appropriate, and comply with insurance or regulatory guidelines. They work for insurance companies, healthcare organizations, or third-party review agencies, providing expert opinions on whether proposed or ongoing treatments meet accepted standards of care.
