Job description

**Active US Security Clearance With Polygraph Required**
We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to support advanced technology initiatives focused on system-level design. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment, working across the full hardware development lifecycle-from concept through fabrication and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop ASIC, FPGA, and SoC-based microelectronic systems
  • Perform simulation, verification, and debugging of hardware designs
  • Develop and maintain HDL code using Verilog and/or VHDL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and hardware requirements
  • Conduct design analysis to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Support physical design processes including synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure
  • Interface with fabrication teams and support semiconductor manufacturing efforts
  • Utilize industry-standard EDA tools for schematic capture, simulation, and verification

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience designing and developing ASICs, FPGAs, and/or SoCs
  • Strong proficiency in HDL coding (Verilog and/or VHDL)
  • Deep understanding of digital logic design and analog circuit fundamentals
  • Solid knowledge of computer architecture and semiconductor physics
  • Experience with physical ASIC design, including place-and-route tools
  • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes
  • Hands-on experience with commercial EDA tools such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or Synopsys

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with advanced node semiconductor design
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal design and verification
  • Experience working in DoD, IC, or other mission-critical environments

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Twelve (12) years' experience as a Hardware Design Engineer in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required.
  • Current TS/SCI with Polygraph required
