They are responsible for writing server-side code, integrating databases, and ensuring the functionality and performance of websites or web-based software. PHP developers often work with front-end technologies and collaborate with other team members to deliver dynamic and secure web solutions. Their role may also involve debugging, optimizing existing code, and staying updated with the latest trends in web development.

How does a php software developer typically collaborate with front-end developers and designers within a project team?

  • Contribute to the adoption of AI within products and internal processes
  • Collaborate with a global network of engineers and architects to influence platform-wide outcomes

Have you got what it takes?

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, or related roles
  • 3+ years of experience in an architect or technical leadership capacity, defining system-level or quality architecture
  • Strong programming experience with PHP and JavaScript
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services, including:
    • ECS, EKS, EC2
    • SQS, Kinesis, Lambda
    • ElastiCache, RDS, Kafka
  • Experience working with OpenSearch or similar technologies
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and quality engineering practices
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, including:
    • Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
    • Clean Architecture principles
  • Proven ability to define and influence system-wide quality and architecture decisions across distributed systems
  • Experience working in complex integrations across multiple services or platforms
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders
