Job description

Axiom Consultants, Inc, is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to provide support to the NOAA Fisheries Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office (GARFO).Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based applications using PHP 7 and modern frameworks such as CodeIgniter 4.Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL scripts and queries for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and implement user-friendly, secure, and scalable solutions.Integrate applications with APIs and services using JSON, OpenID, and OIDC protocols.Manage code versions and collaborate in a shared development environment using Git and GitHub.Deploy and support applications in a Linux-based environment, utilizing command-line tools for setup and maintenance.Contribute to cloud-based development initiatives within AWS, ensuring performance, security, and reliability standards are met.Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups. The PHP Developer selected should have the following:3+ years of professional PHP development experience, with strong PHP 7 skills3+ years of creating SQL scriptsThe Ideal PHP Developer will also have the following:Experience using Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, Cloud AWS Environment, JSON, Linux, GitHub, Command-Line Git, CodeIgnitor 4, OpenID, and OIDC Axiom offers competitive compensation packages including comprehensive medical/dental/life insurance and matching 401(k) contribution.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
