Communications Specialist - Skill Level 4 - HDF

Clearance Required:  TS/SCI

Location:  Springfield, VA - 100% onsite

Duties Include:

  • Developing messages for potentially the entire NGA workforce.
  • Crafting senior messages and talking points for various target audiences
  • Implementing the HD Strategic Plan
  • Provide presentation support to Office leadership to include message intent, developing targeted/tailored graphical concept and designs
  • Preparing and supporting the development of Town Halls including preparing answers to questions posed at the Town Halls.
  • Use written and verbal skills to create a wide range of products and corporate communication material.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations or communication
  • At least 12 months demonstrated experience with SharePoint, updating web content and using electronic publishing applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator or Adobe Pro
  • At least 12 months demonstrated experience using APA style writing and editing
  • At least 12 months demonstrated experience planning and executing senior leaders' (General/Flag Officer, SES, or corporate equivalent) speaking events and crafting Q&A responses
  • At least 48 months demonstrated experience in communications strategy development
