Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Light, style, and photograph Ecomm product according to established Arhaus creative direction and lighting standards.
  • Photograph company events, ceremonies, environmental portraits, etc. when required to support cross functional and partner initiatives
  • Maintain an efficient workflow to ensure the completion of the daily production requirements
  • Digital asset management; file naming, organizing, and archival of image capture sessions
  • Maintain a high standard of quality for all deliverables in support of the Photography Manager
  • Create and maintain documentation of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Direct the Photography Assistant and/or Stylist on set
  • Training and facilitating of freelance photographers and photo assistants
  • Coordinate with Production and Operations personnel to ensure the timely movement of product, props, and assets on and off set safely and efficiently
  • Lift and move heavy furniture and photography equipment

Skills / Competencies:

  • Extensive experience with Studio lighting and rigging
  • Advanced lighting techniques for glass and reflective materials
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Capture One Studio, iOS, and MS 365
  • Use of Photoshop knowledge and experience to guide decision making and best practices on set
  • An intuitive sense of image composition and understanding of additive color theory
  • Quickly and fluidly adapt to change
  • The ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively

Education, Experience and Other Qualifications:

  • Minimum- Associate’s Degree in Photography
  • Printed portfolio or website showcasing previous work
  • 2+ year's experience as a Product Photographer
  • Understanding of best practices, responsibilities, and workflow within a large, fast paced, photography studio environment
