Job Title: Field Technician
Location: Haydenville, MA 01039
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18–$22/hour to start, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed
Field Technician — Paid Training Provided
Done Right Chimney is hiring a Field Technician to join our field team.
Prior chimney experience is helpful, but not required. Paid training is provided.
This is a hands-on, year-round position for someone with experience in maintenance, construction, mechanical repair, HVAC, masonry, roofing, landscaping, equipment service, warehouse work, delivery, or another physical trade-related role.
Our field technicians work on chimney and hearth systems throughout Western Massachusetts. The work includes inspections, sweeping, repairs, liners, caps, venting systems, light masonry, stove and fireplace-related work, setup, cleanup, photos, documentation, and working respectfully in and around customers’ homes.

What You’ll Do:
  • Assist with chimney inspections, sweeping, repairs, liners, caps, and venting systems.
  • Help with light masonry repairs, including repointing, crown coating, and waterproofing.
  • Assist with wood, pellet, gas, and electric stove or insert-related work.
  • Work with tools, ladders, scaffolding, rooftops, and job-site equipment.
  • Carry tools, ladders, materials, and supplies as needed.
  • Set up and clean up job sites.
  • Take photos and assist with job notes and documentation.
  • Work outdoors in changing weather.
  • Communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, and office staff.
  • Learn chimney, hearth, masonry, and venting systems over time.
