OVERVIEW

The Dealership Vehicle Photographer is responsible for taking photos and compiling other vehicle information for use on our consumer facing websites. This role includes taking photos, capturing vehicle information, and uploading this information into our systems. The role requires vehicles to be driven to various locations at the dealership to ensure the best image in the proper format and background.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain list of vehicles from the General Manager and other dealership personnel.
  • Locate vehicles and move them to proper locations for photos at the dealership.
  • Take multiple photographs of all vehicles in inventory.
  • Unload photographs to our online inventory management system.
  • Return vehicles to the original location after taking photos.
  • Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles as required or requested.
  • Add vehicle description and key selling features into our inventory management system.
  • Ensure all vehicles in our inventory have complete information and photos.
  • May run vehicles through the dealership car wash prior to taking photos, as needed.
  • Report status to General Manager and other dealership personnel daily.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Proficiency with industry-specific software.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Product knowledge, professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all employees, customers and management.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • One year of photography experience.
  • Background in vehicle photography.
  • Education in Photography, Marketing or Communications.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Dealership Vehicle Photographer works throughout all areas of the dealerships, indoors and outdoors, stooping, and bending to photograph. They will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Driving vehicles is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
