Job description

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, and construction survey deliverables using Civil 3D and related software.
  • Process and develop terrestrial LiDAR and UAV (drone) LiDAR/photogrammetry datasets into accurate survey deliverables.
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) on survey deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable surveying practices.
  • Review incoming field data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency prior to drafting and final production.
  • Identify field deficiencies and provide constructive feedback and corrective guidance to field crews to improve data collection methods and overall project quality.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Registered Professional Land Surveyors (RPLSs) to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules.
  • Assist in developing survey mapping, digital terrain models, contours, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
  • Train, mentor, and provide day-to-day technical guidance to junior survey technicians to support their professional development and improve departmental efficiency.
  • Help establish and maintain drafting standards, workflows, and best practices for conventional, LiDAR, and UAV survey processing.
  • Communicate effectively with field personnel to ensure office and field operations remain aligned throughout each project.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to survey workflows, software utilization, and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation in accordance with company standards.
