Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for creating and maintaining photo quality aircraft rendering images for interior and exterior design (layouts, elevations, styling and true to life color selections) as defined and requested by Customers and the Embraer Executive Aircraft Sales and Proposals teams.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Supports the interior and exterior selection process with timely and accurate photo quality renderings, other images and drawing based documents which reflects the choices of the Customer and gives them representation of the finished look of the aircraft.
  • Assists Sales, Proposals, and the Design and Configuration department by producing proposal drawings for future work.
  • Creates images to support the development of technical material for each product in order to make option sales available.
  • Creates images to support executive aircraft technical documents produced in support of contracts and sales.
  • Prepares detailed and accurate aircraft Interior Design package three-dimensional Computer Aided Design images and drawings which support the Customer contract amendment process
  • Assists with the creation of Interior Design standards drawings, processes, procedures and work instructions.
  • Stays informed of current trends and practices in the Computer Aided Design field.
  • Reviews state-of-the art industry developments and makes recommendations to the management team on cost-effective additions and/or modifications to meet department and corporate goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer aided design, industrial design or graphic arts specializing in 3D software, or related field preferred.

Experience:
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Entry level experience with 3D Rendering is required.
  • Training or experience in operating color plotters and scanners is required.
  • Print media and photo retouching skills are required.
  • Experience should include 3Ds Max/V-Ray/Adobe Creative Suite and Corel Draw X5, Z Brush or other related photo quality rendering software and image production suites.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Essential Functions:
1. Provide Interior and Exterior Rendering packages in accordance with the Interior Design and Sales objective.
2. Participate in formal Sales/Design Presentations with Sales Executive and Interior Designer.
3. Interface with Marketing, Design, and Engineering for input and to ensure accuracy of renderings.
4. Ensure the effective application of 3D rendering systems and procedures are applicable to the functional areas of responsibility by providing direction and support to management for the implementation, maintenance and selection of 3D rendering related hardware/software.
5. Organize and continually update drawing files as well as coordinate archiving drawing files for permanent records.
6. Promote efficient work practices and processes.
7. Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
