Job description

The Senior Photo Stylist leads the visual execution and on-set direction of photo and video shoots across studio, location, and showroom environments. This role will translate business and brand objectives into elevated styling direction, ensuring visual consistency, creative excellence, and commercial effectiveness. The Senior Photo Stylist plays a critical role in elevating the Four Hands aesthetic across all visual content.

In This Role

  • Lead styling execution by driving the visual direction for all photo and video shoots, ensuring total alignment with creative briefs and brand standards
  • Serve as the daily creative lead on set; anticipate needs, solve styling challenges in real-time, and ensure visual cohesion across all frames
  • Translate complex business objectives into elevated styling strategies, demonstrating mastery in props, materials, and spatial composition
  • Strategically source, purchase, curate, and maintain prop libraries-including vintage and antique pieces-ensuring organization and creative relevance
  • Ensure all styling elements meet the high-end, "Four Hands" aesthetic, maintaining a balance between commercial needs and editorial elevated design
  • Partner with photographers, art direction, and production on set to style and compose elevated, cohesive, and on-brand visual assets-refining product placement, layering, and details to ensure each scene aligns with the brand's aesthetic and storytelling standards
  • Maintain a pulse on industry trends, design, art, and culture, sharing insights that consistently elevate the team's creative output
  • Participate in travel to Las Vegas Market and High Point Market 2-4 times annually to support showroom setup and styling execution as needed

The Ideal Person

  • 6+ years experience leading furniture, interior, or lifestyle styling for photo and video, with a portfolio demonstrating strong architectural composition, materiality, and spatial awareness
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week while maintaining a high bar for creative excellence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including excel to track samples, budgets, and inventory
  • Experience developing professional art direction materials, including mood boards, styling decks, and visual plans (PowerPoint, Figma, or similar tools)
  • Solid understanding of set design fundamentals, including sourcing and specifying finishes, paints, textures, and materials
  • Experience sourcing, curating, and maintaining prop libraries with a strong eye for quality, scale, and storytelling

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move props or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders, reach, squat, and stand for extended periods during long production days
  • Comfortable working in varied environments, including but not limited to active studio bays, off-site locations, and showrooms
