Photo lab technicians are professionals who process and develop photographic film and digital images. Photo lab technicians also perform routine maintenance on lab equipment, assist customers with photo orders, and may edit or enhance images using computer software. Their work is essential in both retail photo centers and specialized photo labs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Photo Lab Technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Photo Lab Technician, you need a solid understanding of photographic processes, attention to detail, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with digital photo editing software, film processing equipment, and printing systems is typically required. Strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines help you stand out.
