Location: Boca Raton, FL (onsite)

***Must be available to be in the Boca Raton area to capture content according to post***

About the Opportunity

Boca Savings Companion is a new app launching in Boca Raton that helps locals discover the best  dining deals, grocery specials, and savings at their favorite spots. We are at an exciting stage,  moving from prototype to real-world launch, and we are looking for a creative, motivated intern to  help build our social media presence from the ground up.

This is a hands-on role where your work will actually matter. You will not be fetching coffee or  organizing spreadsheets. What You Will Do

Content Creation

• Capture photo and video content at local restaurants and grocery stores in Boca Raton • Develop creative concepts that highlight deals, dining experiences, and local savings in a  way that feels aspirational, not bargain-bin

• Edit short-form video content using tools like CapCut or similar (lightweight tools are  completely fine)

• Incorporate stock footage or imagery when needed to elevate content quality

Channel Management

• Post and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube; TikTok is a bonus • Maintain a consistent brand voice that reflects smart savings, not couponing • Monitor comments, respond to followers, and help grow an engaged local community • Track basic performance metrics and share learnings to inform future content decisions

Influencer and Community Outreach

• Research and identify local Boca Raton influencers and micro-creators aligned with our  audience

• Help coordinate outreach and manage relationships with influencer partners • Participate in engagement strategies to grow our follower base organically • Represent Boca Savings Companion at local events or spots as needed

Boca Savings Companion | Social Media Marketing Internship 1

What We Are Looking For

Required:

• Social media experience, whether running personal accounts, a student project, or a  business page, counts

• Comfort with short-form video editing (CapCut, InShot, or similar tools are perfectly fine) • Genuine enthusiasm for content creation and a desire to keep learning

• Ability to work independently and manage your own time without constant check-ins • Creativity, positive energy, and a collaborative attitude

• Availability some evenings and weekends, when local restaurant and food content is most  relevant (weekly hours will be adjusted accordingly)

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok content formats • Experience with Canva, Adobe Express, or any design tool

• Interest in local food, dining, or lifestyle content

• Prior internship, campus organization, or freelance experience in marketing or  communications

What You Will Gain

• Mentorship from a Fractional CMO with 20+ years of experience across brand, growth, and  lifecycle marketing

• Real-world exposure to launching a consumer app from prototype to market • A portfolio of content you created and published for a live brand

• Hands-on experience with influencer outreach, community building, and engagement  strategy

• Academic credit through FAU's internship program

• Flexibility to fit around your class schedule, with ownership over your work

How to Apply

Send an email to ------------ with the subject line: Internship Application – [Your  Name]. In your email, please answer the following questions:
