Photo Studio Supervisor - Rejuvenation
Portland, OR
Full-time
Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO
Posted 21 days ago
Job description
About the Team
The Rejuvenation photography team consists of highly passionate, collaborative, and process-driven thinkers. As part of the team, you'll bring your ideas, organization, and leadership to the discussion. Our role is to create cohesive visual direction and photography for the brand across all channels, bringing products to market creatively, accurately, and on time.
About the Role
Join our dynamic creative team as the Photo Studio Supervisor, where you'll help drive the day-to-day execution of our studio photography process. You won't just support studio logistics; you'll be a key partner across departments, helping ensure product, samples, sets, equipment, schedules, and teams are aligned to deliver inspiring assets for the Rejuvenation brand.
As a hands-on leader in the studio, you'll stay close to the floor to direct priorities, support coordinators, remove roadblocks, and keep daily production moving from shoot preparation through wrap. Working closely with producers, art directors, photographers, stylists, coordinators, sample teams, and freelance partners, you'll help ensure photo shoots are organized, efficient, and executed to the highest standard.
This role is also responsible for building and maintaining the photography schedule, balancing creative priorities, sample readiness, set availability, photographer needs, coordinator capacity, and business timelines. You'll help capture production metrics to understand shoot volume, schedule health, sample issues, delays, rework, and workflow blockers, using that information to improve how the studio plans, communicates, and delivers work.
We're looking for someone with strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and natural leadership qualities to support the team and keep production moving. If you thrive in a collaborative setting, enjoy solving problems in real time, and have a keen eye for detail, we want you to help us shape the visual narrative of the Rejuvenation brand.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
Be part of a highly collaborative creative team and support the daily management of studio production details, including merchandise, samples, props, photography equipment, set readiness, scheduling, and creative goals.
Lead day-to-day studio floor operations by staying present and engaged on the floor, ensuring shoots are prepared, organized, and executed on schedule.
Directly manage, train, schedule, and support studio coordinators, assistants, temporary associates, freelance partners, and/or ICs as needed.
Provide daily direction to coordinators, clarifying priorities, coaching in the moment, and ensuring follow-through on sample movement, set readiness, shoot support, and end-of-day reset.
Build and maintain the photography schedule in partnership with creative and production teams, balancing shoot priorities, sample readiness, set and prop needs, photographer availability, and coordinator capacity.
Act as the connection between the photography schedule and floor execution, adjusting plans in real time when late product, sample issues, set changes, or shifting creative priorities impact production.
Partner closely with producers, art directors, photographers, stylists, sample teams, and post-production partners to support a seamless photo production process.
Help ensure merchandise for shoots is properly tracked, staged, returned, and accounted for.
Support sample flow between the warehouse, studio, sets, and photo teams to reduce delays and improve shoot readiness.
Capture and maintain key production metrics, including shoot volume, completed assets, schedule changes, sample readiness, delays, rework, and other workflow blockers.
Use production metrics and regular hindsights to identify trends, communicate risks, and recommend process improvements that support efficiency, accuracy, and on-time asset delivery.
Communicate schedule changes, late product issues, sample concerns, production risks, and workflow updates to the appropriate partners.
Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and production-ready studio environment.
Ensure studio spaces, sets, props, and sample areas are properly maintained and reset for upcoming work.
Support the team in troubleshooting day-of-shoot challenges, including missing product, set readiness, workflow changes, and shifting production priorities.
Own and maintain production documents, studio schedules, sample tracking documents, shot lists, digital guidelines, production metrics, and other key workflow tools.
Partner with the photo team to ensure digital assets are captured, organized, and handed off according to brand and production guidelines.
Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure all necessary photo assets are completed accurately and on time.
Identify and implement procedures to support and improve the studio production process.
Perform regular hindsights of studio workflow and identify needed improvements, follow-through opportunities, and best practices.
Lead onboarding, training, performance feedback, timekeeping, and daily direction for assigned team members.
Promote strong communication, accountability, and collaboration across creative, production, sample, and operations teams.
Help uphold brand standards for Rejuvenation photography by supporting accuracy, consistency, attention to detail, and efficient execution.
Partner with studio leadership on workload planning, daily priorities, coordinator coverage, production metrics, and process improvements.
Support vendor, contractor, and freelance coordination as needed for studio operations and production support.
