Job description

Phoenix Children's is seeking Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physicians

The Division of Infectious Diseases at Phoenix Children's in Phoenix, AZ is seeking to recruit pediatric ID physicians to provide clinical care at Phoenix Children's.

A successful applicant will be joining a growing division consisting of physicians, advanced practice providers and a pediatric ID fellowship program. The applicant is expected to be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric infectious diseases and have a commitment to patient care and trainee education. The applicant will have a clinical faculty title at The University of Arizona College of Medicine, and opportunities to have a clinical faculty title at Mayo Clinic- Scottsdale, and Creighton University College of Medicine.

The division provides care through an inpatient consult service in addition to the outpatient ID clinic. This growing division also has responsibilities for and opportunities for involvement with dedicated protected time in the following domains:

  • Antimicrobial Stewardship
  • Infection Prevention
  • Transplant Programs for bone marrow/stem cell, heart, liver and kidney
  • Pediatric HIV medicine
  • Research
  • Education: Pediatric ID fellows, pediatric residents, medical students, adult ID fellows at Mayo clinic-Scottsdale, hospital medicine and other specialty fellows at Phoenix Children's
