Job description

Phoenix Defense is currently seeking applicants for Electronics Maintenance Technician II (DRTS) at Grafenwoehr, Germany. This position is in support of the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment for the DRTS.ย ย 
  • Maintain appropriate Contractor Performance Factor (CPF) status for assigned training devices by performing all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment for DRTS.ย 
  • Apply basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting military specifications, manufacturerโ€™s manuals, or similar technical documents to perform training system PMCS, troubleshooting and fault isolation.ย 
  • Work closely with Instructors during training execution to resolve software/hardware issues in a timely manner so they do not detract from the training experience.ย 
  • Assist in maintaining other training devices during manpower shortages and training surges.ย 
  • Capture and records accurate maintenance history ensuring unique corrective measures for work ordersย 
  • Safely operate company vehicles; navigates established range roads and trailsย 
  • Support military Rotational Training Units MILES install / de-install and instrumentation
  • Support quality, security, and safety training programs
  • Ensures safety procedures are adhered to by all personnel
  • This position may require travel to other installations and other W-TRS locations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 yearsโ€™ experience as an Electronic Technician Maintenance or similar position
  • Proficient with basic computer systems including Microsoft Outlook and Office applicationsย 
  • Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and adaptable
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driverโ€™s license and installation driving privileges
  • Must be able to obtain a valid Blue Card, VISA/Work Permit as required by German Law
  • Must be able to support various locations for various lengths of training support
  • Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:

  • 2-3 yearsโ€™ experience with digital training ranges
  • Exemplary multitasking and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
