Our client is a CAP-accredited, CLIA-certified clinical reference laboratory headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Founded in 2017 and delivering comprehensive diagnostic testing services to physicians, hospitals, health systems, employers, and government agencies across Louisiana. Services are supported by locally based teams and an integrated platform encompassing technology, infrastructure, and logistics.

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomy Team Lead to provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to a small team of phlebotomists. This advanced role requires 5+ years of phlebotomy experience, consistent high performance, and the ability to manage daily operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and staff development. The Team Lead will also be responsible for ensuring adequate coverage when staff call-outs occur, maintaining smooth operations across patient service centers and clinical environments.

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (includes a 1-hour break). Rotating Saturday coverage (hours vary).

Pay and Benefits:
  • 24.00 per hour base pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory, maintain supplies, and oversee the cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
  • Experience: 5+ years of phlebotomy experience across diverse healthcare settings.
  • Proven leadership ability with supervisory or lead experience.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture and sample collection across all age ranges.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in computer and email communication.
  • All candidates must pass a background check in compliance with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) guidelines.
  • High school diploma; GED.
  • National Phlebotomy Technician certification or LSBME licensure.
