Position Overview

The Patient Access Representative II plays a vital dual role within the PACE clinic, providing both administrative/clerical support and clinical medical assistant responsibilities. This position works collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless, high-quality coordinated care for our participants. 

This role supports clinic operations by assisting providers, facilitating participant access, and delivering direct clinical services (including phlebotomy) to a diverse geriatric population with complex health needs.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and clinical support to PACE clinic providers

• Perform medical assistant duties, including vital signs and phlebotomy

• Explain clinic routines and clinical procedures to participants and family members

• Coordinate participant flow to ensure efficient and effective care delivery

• Communicate clearly and professionally via phone, in person, and in writing

• Deliver exceptional customer service to participants, families, and team members

• Maintain accurate documentation and attention to detail

• Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment


Qualifications

Education & Training:

• High school diploma required

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program 

Certifications:

• American Heart Association BLS Provider certification

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year as a nursing assistant, or currently enrolled in a nursing program with completion of two clinical rotations

• Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a clinical setting preferred 

• Minimum of 1 year experience working with the geriatric population 

Language:

• Bilingual Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
