• Number of Beds : 10
• Patient Ratios :2:1, 3:1
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNC), RNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs
• Type of equipment : Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, Vents, glucometer
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, three 12 hours shifts
• Floating policy: May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED
• Patient Experience requirements: At least 2 years of ICU experience

Frankfort Regional Medical Center is a 173-bed acute care facility that has received numerous awards and accolades for its quality of care, including Magnet designation for nursing excellence. Accredited by The Joint Commission, the hospital is conveniently located off I-64 in Central Kentucky approximately 50 miles from Louisville and 30 miles from Lexington.

Certifications

• Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated)

CPap and BiPap management, Port access, therapeutic phlebotom

Must have

2 years ICU Experience

Advanced skills needed

preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusion, ventilators

Procedures performed on unit

telemetry monitoring, paracentesis (physician led), BiPap, therapeutic phlebotomy

Certifications Required

Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS required, current NIH (must be certified annually)

Dress Code

• Navy or gray scrubs
