Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and RDMS-AB and RDMS-OB certifications for a general ultrasound position requiring OB and abdominal vascular skills.

Details
  • Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 4 trauma center and 281 staffed beds
  • General ultrasound role with OB and abdominal vascular exams, plus sporadic neonatal exams
  • 4x10 hour evening/night shifts Tuesday-Friday, ranging between 4:30 PM-3:00 AM and possibly transitioning to 7:30 PM-6:00 AM based on unit needs
  • No weekend requirement
  • No call requirement
  • Float within the hospital, but not to sister facilities
  • Uses EPIC for charting and Philips ultrasound equipment with PACS
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of sonography experience required
  • RDMS-AB and RDMS-OB certifications required
  • BLS certification required
  • NT certification preferred
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • Skills required in OB/GYN imaging across all trimesters, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and placenta previa
  • General ultrasound skills required including abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, and spleen
  • Experience with renal/pelvic, bladder, ovaries, uterus, and vaginal ultrasound required
  • Small parts imaging experience required including breast, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid
  • Neonatal head and heart imaging experience helpful
  • Nuchal translucency screening skills preferred
  • Experience with paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration preferred
  • Outpatient and biopsy experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • No mile radius restriction for local candidates
  • Maximum RTO of 1 week, with no RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of assignment
  • Prior UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
  • Perform a variety of general, OB, and limited abdominal vascular ultrasound exams as part of daily responsibilities
