Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring BLS and ARDMS certification.

Details
  • Level II Trauma Center setting including outpatient, IR, ER, and inpatient services
  • 8-week assignment on night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Weekend shifts required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • May float to a nearby sister campus (approximately 2 miles away) for STAT exams
  • Patient population includes adult, pediatric, and NICU cases
  • Performs general ultrasound, OB/GYN, small parts, and portable exams
  • Procedures may include amniocentesis, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and renal/bladder studies
  • Uses GE and Philips ultrasound equipment along with PACS imaging system
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Scrubs of any color accepted except reddish orange
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist required
  • BLS and ARDMS certification required
  • ARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN, and ARRT(S) certifications preferred
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience required
  • EPIC charting system experience required
  • Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable
  • Must provide response confirming prior work history at any Providence facility, including dates and location if applicable
  • Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this role
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
  • Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
  • Candidates should commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
  • All time-off requests should be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
  • Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the healthcare system
  • Parking is provided at no cost to the traveler
