Job description

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

The position involves working in a Cardiac Cath Lab. It is essential to have 3 years of nursing experience in a Cath Lab. The facility has 3 labs and 1 hybrid OR. The team configuration includes 1 RN and 2 techs per room or 2 RNs and 1 tech per room. The RN will not use fluoroscopy but will manage sedation while the third person monitors the patient. Daily procedures include 12-15 cases, with the patient population consisting of both outpatients and inpatients requiring interventional cardiac services. Patient types include those with cardiogenic shock, diagnostic caths, thrombectomy, stenting, right heart cath, structural studies, device placements, and more. The RN's responsibilities include managing critical cardiac drips and performing various cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate should be comfortable transporting patients and working within a team of healthcare professionals. Experience with specific equipment such as Zoll defibrillator and Philips Fluoro machine is preferred. The schedule mandates 4 ten-hour days, with weekend rotations and on-call duties. A 30-minute response time is expected during on-call hours, with overnight and weekend on-call requirements detailed in the position. Please note that specific dress code and procedural supplies will be provided. Additional expectations regarding holiday shifts may vary based on needs.
