RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures smooth and steady kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized.
  • Manages tasks efficiently to maintain kitchen workflow.
  • Follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Restocks kitchen and cooking line as needed throughout the shift.
  • Performs routine cleaning of the kitchen and assists with general cleaning tasks, as needed.
  • Clear understanding of dish machine operations, including its chemical components, and follows proper procedures for changing water and chemicals as needed.
  • Keeps the floors clean and dry.
  • Ensures plates and smallware's are properly washed, sanitized, and stored.
  • Maintains and inspects food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
  • Corrects unsafe practices or conditions and notifies management.
  • Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
  • Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise. Teamwork is essential and expected of all Outbackers.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1+year BOH experience in full-service restaurant preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to work in hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
  • Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
  • Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed. The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
