Position: Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer II
Location: Chandler, AZ
Overview
Join a collaborative engineering team focused on advancing aerospace technologies. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems for cutting-edge applications, including aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, and launch vehicles. You will apply control theory, mathematical modeling, and software development techniques to deliver high-precision navigation and control solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains.
Develop and utilize 6 degrees of freedom (6DOF) simulations to design and validate flight software.
Analyze system performance and behavior to identify improvements and ensure mission success.
Optimize flight and simulation software for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Work with trajectory optimization tools and frameworks to support mission planning and execution.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware and software components.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field with 2+ years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field.
Experience with C++ and Python programming.
Familiarity with development in a Linux environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of control systems theory and guidance law design.
