_ Opportunity at a Glance_

We are interested in developing long-term relationships with superior instructors who have high professional standards, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and a commitment to providing the finest practitioner-focused education. We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks. The face-to-face interaction is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment. Commitment is on a course by course basis.

Responsibilities

  • Candidates from the state of Louisiana needed to conduct site visits, potentially at multiple clinical practicum locations, throughout the region/state, typically once per 8-Week Session per site. Visits are typically 1-2 hours.
  • Exhibit Chamberlain Care â„¢ by displaying behaviors of care, respect and professionalism, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation and respect among all
  • Be readily available to meet the needs of a student body that is diverse in age, culture and academic preparation
  • Identify and embrace opportunities to enhance student engagement by reaching out to students in need and responding quickly to requests for help
  • Bring your professional experience to life through professional development, introducing industry perspective into courses and sharing information about nursing trends and opportunities with students

Qualifications:
Qualifications

  • MSN and DNP or PHD in nursing degree required
  • Must have an active unencumbered Louisiana RN nursing license
  • Must have an active unencumbered Louisiana APRN nursing license
  • National certification through the AANP or ANCC required for PMHNP
  • Must have reliable transportation with availability and willingness to travel to a variety of clinical practicum sites throughout the region, typically one site visit per 8-Week Session for each designated location, typically during weekday/daytime hours
  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level; online teaching experience highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing practice in a clinical setting is Required
  • Must have required subject matter expertise in the course of instruction.
  • Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.

Additional Information

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position
_In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.

Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
