Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation activities.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure records are accurate and confidential.
  • Prepare employment-related documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Schedule interviews, meetings, and other HR-related appointments.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews.
  • Enter and maintain employee information within HR databases and tracking systems.
  • Process employment documentation, including new hire paperwork and personnel transactions.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with County policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, copying, data entry, and answering telephone inquiries.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience working in a government or public sector environment.
  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, and personnel record management.
