About the Role:

The Assistant Professor of Exercise Science will play a pivotal role in advancing the academic mission of the department by delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, and contributing to service activities within the university community. This position requires the development and teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses that cover foundational and advanced topics in exercise science, promoting student engagement and learning. The successful candidate will design and lead research projects that contribute to the understanding of human movement, physical activity, and health, seeking external funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Collaboration with colleagues across disciplines to enhance curriculum development and participate in departmental and university committees is essential. Minimum Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching at the college level.
  • Evidence of research productivity, including peer-reviewed publications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
