Assistant Personal Training Manager

We're looking for an energetic, motivated, and results-driven Assistant Personal Training Manager (APTM) to help lead our Personal Training department while delivering exceptional experiences to our members and clients.
In this role, you'll serve as both a leader and a coach-guiding personal trainers, driving client acquisition and retention, and creating an outstanding fitness experience that helps members reach their goals. If you're a fitness professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring others while growing a successful training business, we'd love to meet you.
Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Minimum 40 hours per week)
What You'll Do
Deliver Exceptional Personal Training Experiences
  • Provide high-quality personal training sessions and fitness coaching to clients.
  • Create customized fitness and nutrition programs tailored to individual goals.
  • Educate clients on sustainable lifestyle habits that support long-term success.
  • Track client progress and provide ongoing accountability, motivation, and support.
  • Build strong relationships that drive client satisfaction and retention.

Drive New Client Acquisition
  • Conduct fitness consultations and promote personal training services.
  • Participate directly in the sales process, converting prospects into active training clients.
  • Coach and support personal trainers in consultative sales techniques and best practices.
  • Help manage trainer schedules and resources to maximize opportunities and results.
  • Lead and support the execution of the CrunchOne Kickoff process.

Enhance Client Retention & Experience
  • Ensure consistent delivery of the client journey, especially during the critical first 90 days.
  • Monitor training quality and ensure programs are based on sound fitness principles.
  • Oversee client progress tracking, assessments, goal reviews, and program updates.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilization of company systems and training tools.

Develop and Lead the Training Team
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop personal trainers.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and results-oriented team culture.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and exceptional member service.

Monitor Performance & Business Metrics
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, retention, and service delivery.
  • Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate results, action plans, and business insights to club leadership.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current Personal Training Certification from one or more of the following:
    • ACSM
    • ACE
    • Cooper Institute
    • IFPA
    • NASM
    • NESTA
    • NFPT
    • NSCA

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Fitness, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of personal training experience.
  • Previous leadership or management experience.
  • Experience in consultative sales or fitness membership sales.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or motivating teams.
