Exercise Specialist
IRG Physical amp; Hand Therapy

The Position:
Our Exercise Specialists are one of the most integral positions in our company and are not only responsible for assisting patients with exercise plans and modalities - but play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining relationships and driving the patient experience.
What You’ll Do:
• Guide patients through therapist-prescribed exercise programs.
• Assist with therapeutic modalities and treatment set up.
• Provide encouragement and education to help patients achieve their goals.
• Prepare, maintain, and clean a safe clinical environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships with patients.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinic systems.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or other related field preferred.
• Customer service or patient-facing experience preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to demonstrate body mechanics, functional movement, and exercises
• Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations
Physical Demand/Work Conditions:
• Standing, walking, bending, reaching, squatting, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday.
• Lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Demonstrate exercises including but not limited to jumping, balancing on one leg, rotation of the shoulder in multiple planes, and using exercise bands.
• Ability to properly transfer patients with use of good body mechanics while maintaining patient safety.
• Required to work at an IRG facility and be responsible for your own transportation to and from work site.
• Potential exposure to virus, disease, and infections from patients in the working environment.
• Ability to perform custodial duties using medical grade cleaning products - including but not limited to - cleaning bathrooms, laundry, and disinfection of exercise equipment.
• Work for extended periods of time at a video display terminal and will be required to use a keyboard to enter and gather information.
Pay and Benefits Information:
• Base salary:$17.13-$20 per hour depending on experience and location of clinic
