Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab, you will apply the plan of care for rehabilitation to meet the needs of inpatients and out patients.  The incumbent will reinforce principles of health promotion.  The center serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients for all phases of rehabilitation.  The patient population most common will be:  cardiac patients, pulmonary patients, diabetic patients, and apparently healthy individuals.

What Requirements You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or related degree.  Master's Degree preferred
  • Current BLS issues by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required within one year of hire or transfer
  • Experience in exercise testing, training and prescription with apparently healthy individuals as well as patient populations and group teaching skills are required
