Summary:
The selected candidate is expected to perform research on nanostructures in glasses, including glass preparation, material characterization, data acquisition, students training, manuscript preparation and conference presentations.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on rare-earth ion doped glasses, work with students and assist the PI in all aspects of the work related to the research project and in teaching.

Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
  • PhD in Physics or PhD in Chemistry or PhD in Materials Science.

  • Good knowledge in rare-earth spectroscopy, nanostructures in glasses and plasmon interaction studies.
