Position Summary
Our client is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and knowledgeable Physical Therapist/Coach to join their small, specialized gym focused on improving the lives of individuals living with Parkinson's disease. This role involves leading clients through a research-based exercise program designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and overall quality of life in a supportive and encouraging environment.
No prior experience working with Parkinson's patients is required. The client provides comprehensive training in our specialized program to ensure you are confident and prepared to work with our clients.
Responsibilities
  • Lead individual and small-group exercise sessions for clients with Parkinson's disease.
  • Provide safe, effective instruction while adapting exercises to meet each client's abilities and goals.
  • Encourage, motivate, and build positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Monitor client progress and communicate observations with the team.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming training environment.
  • Participate in program-specific training and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications
  • Current NCCA-accredited fitness certification (such as NASM, ACE, ACSM, or NSCA) or a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or a related field.
