Job Description

This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, updating, and instructing SCSC curriculum in accordance with ISD principles.  Develop lesson plans, instructional aids, syllabi, visual presentations, student materials, grading rubrics, and capstone exercises.  Instruct topics including space battle management, Command and Control (C2) principles, joint planning processes, COMREL and mission command, B2C2WGs and battle rhythms, and authorities and tasking of space assets (SATCOM, EW, TacSRT, SBST).

The 55 TRS operates from Vandenberg SFB, CA and will execute institutional C2 training programs which prepare Guardians for assignments at Service, Joint, and sister-Service operational and tactical C2 echelons. The mission is to deliver combat-ready Guardians to Service component staffs and C2 echelons to effectively integrate and synchronize space capabilities with all-domain operations across combatant commands.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties:

     This position will be responsible for SEW-related content conversion, instruction, course development and maintenance:

  • Qualify on and conduct SEW-based classroom activities to include lessons, exercises, hands-on- activities, and current SWE updates while adhering to 55 TRS instructions, security classification guides, and other guidance as identified in lesson plans.
  • Interface with internal and external SEW agencies as required to update and maintain SEW-based training materials
  • Coordinate instructional activities with the contract task lead and government personnel
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills

Experience Required:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in curriculum development and classroom instruction
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in space operations, including:
    • Space battle management
    • Command and Control (C2) principles
    • Joint planning concepts
    • Experience supporting joint or Service component staffs
    • Experience with operational-level planning processes
    • Completion of an Air Force Instructor Course or equivalent Joint Service or civilian course/degree
    • Active Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility

  • Working knowledge of instructional design skills (ADDIE) and adult learning theories in all phases of instructional design, and ability to apply it to work assignments is preferred.

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, technical, or space-related field

  • Applicant must hold a TS//SCI clearance to be eligible
In compliance with California's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
