Job description

Overview

Carollo Engineers, Inc., is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. Our vision is to become the best water consulting firm and we are looking for motivated, talented people to help us reach that goal.

We are seeking an entry level process mechanical wastewater engineer to support Carollo's vision. As part of our team, you will work on projects related to municipal wastewater treatment plants, which may include treatment plant studies, expansions, and critical projects to help maintain a safe, sustainable and resilient environment for our community.  

Responsibilities
  • Performing engineering work in wastewater treatment facilities
  • Wastewater process modeling and statistical data analysis
  • Development of alternative analysis for design options
  • Work on engineering planning and design projects
  • Prepare reports and make client presentations
  • Develop plans and specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates for various wastewater projects
  • Prepare technical memoranda and reports
Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Has the ability to communicate effectively with peers and mentors
  • Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical and biological wastewater treatment processes, wastewater treatment plant design, statistics and hydraulics
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
  • 0 to 4 years of using commercial software to conduct biological modelling and/or process mechanical design related to wastewater treatment
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering with experience in designing experiments
  • Wastewater modeling using BioWin, GPSX and/or Sumo
  • EIT/FE certificate
  • Internship experience within consulting engineering
Compensation Range

$80,000 to $100,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
