Job description

Need someone local to Raleigh NC 

Responsibilities:

  • Support system architecture, component specification, and integration of robotic hardware and control software.
  • Develop and refine computer vision, motion planning, and control algorithms (ROS, Python/C++, PLC).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety protocols in robotic end-effectors and materials.
  • Participate in prototype development, lab testing, and field deployment at QSR test locations.
  • Design and test operator interfaces, performance dashboards, and data collection workflows (assembly times, error tracking, efficiency).
  • Contribute to documentation, troubleshooting, and process optimization for scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s/PhD student in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with robotic manipulators, computer vision, ROS, CAD, and rapid prototyping.
  • Interest in food robotics, HRI, or retail automation is a plus.
