Job description

Who is Saint Louis University? Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities. SLU, which also has a campus in Madrid, Spain, is recognized for world-class academics, life-changing research, compassionate health care, and a strong commitment to faith and service.
Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution committed to excellence in teaching, research, health care, and service-invites applications for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions in the Department of Computer Science, beginning Fall 2026. Appointment rank is open and will be commensurate with experience. Outstanding candidates may be nominated for distinction as Saint Louis University Research Institute Fellows.
We are particularly interested in applicants with research and teaching interests in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, but exceptional candidates in all areas of Computer Science will be considered. New faculty will join a vibrant department with active research clusters in algorithms, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, computer networking, computer vision, graphics and Virtual Reality, high-performance computing, human-computer interaction, cyber security and privacy.
Faculty members are expected to establish and sustain nationally or internationally recognized research programs, and to contribute to a diverse and dynamic curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment
The department currently offers a PhD in Computer Science, MS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Bioinformatics, and BS programs in Computer Science and Data Science. Faculty and students engage with strong institutional partners across campus, including the School of Medicine, the Chaifetz School of Business, the Taylor Geospatial Institute, as well as initiatives in innovation and entrepreneurship such as KEEN.
