Job Description:
- Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials (BOM), and work instructions
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to support manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production to ensure efficient execution of manufacturing plans
- Support the integration of engineering changes into manufacturing processes and documentation
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, processes, and quality requirements
- Review and validate manufacturing documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce defects
- Review and approve engineering deliverables such as installation plans, tool orders, and line stock checks
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., PhD + 4 years, Master’s + 7 years)
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing plans, BOMs, and work instructions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
- Experience with 3D model-based instructions
- Proficiency with tools such as Siemens NX, IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, or DELMIA
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems Common Image (MESci)
- Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work
Education / Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree)
- Typically 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master’s + 3 years’ related work experience)
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, though not required
