Job description

  • Lead the development and execution of customer-driven district strategy and a coordinated district business plan aligned with business priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Directly supervise Sales Specialists within the district, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and compensation execution in alignment with company practices.
  • Provide regular field-based and virtual coaching to strengthen selling effectiveness, clinical execution using approved resources, and territory business planning discipline.
  • Drive demand generation leadership across outpatient settings and lead demand generation and care transitions execution within local community hospitals as applicable to the district.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of approved clinical information and relevant guidelines for the [Therapeutic Area] portfolio and coach the team to apply them appropriately in customer interactions.
  • Analyze district performance, market dynamics, and execution inputs to identify gaps and opportunities and convert insights into clear priorities and actions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales leadership, Institutional Business Group, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to deliver coordinated execution and improve customer experience.
  • Set clear expectations for performance and behaviors, address performance gaps promptly, and reinforce a culture of accountability, inclusion, and team effectiveness.
  • Adhere to healthcare compliance policies and guidelines while modeling a strong compliance mindset and reinforcing accountability across the team.
  • Use evolving, approved AI-enabled tools where available to enhance planning, opportunity identification, and performance insights while maintaining privacy, data integrity, and policy alignment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required; MS/MBA/PhD preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license issued in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience in sales and/or cross-functional commercial roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare industry.
  • The ability to travel up to 50%, which may include overnight and weekend travel.
  • Must live in the geography and/or be willing to relocate to the geography.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: experience driving cross-functional alignment, removing barriers, and mobilizing resources to achieve shared district outcomes.
  • Leading Others: Experience gaining commitment and action through guided leadership, setting clear expectations, and leading the team through change with accountability and empathy.
