Collaborative projects may include designing and conducting research studies on animal health, welfare, nutrition, or genetics, as well as working with external partners like agricultural companies or government agencies. Regular cross-functional meetings and joint fieldwork are common, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills. These experiences not only advance scientific knowledge but also provide valuable networking and leadership opportunities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a PhD animal science professional, and why are they important?
